This is a video on how to reflow/reball the Xbox 360's southbridge chipset. The southbridge is a leading contributor to the RROD error but doesn't recieve enough credit for causing this, so I am here to fill that gap.

  • Hello ModNation, Great Video!! Have you finished on the GPU video yet? Could you please upload..?

  • @Randallquezada yes i have ill upload it it soon if i can still find it on my computer lol

  • Good job man can you tell me the model of your grill

    Thanks man

  • @honda02134 hey its the presto griddle at walmart, they only sell one, thats all i know i reccomend getting an Aoyue 883 or 863 if you got the money, it really helps hopefully will be getting one for christmas :)

  • @honda02134

The Presto griddle is bowed towards the middle for drainage. This will also bow your motherboard in the middle. Not recommended! I use a Black and Decker which is completely flat.

  • @mmtta2112 most of the curve is near the front, note that the mobo is positioned in the back of the griddle, but yes, i did notice that and did my best to work around it, thnaks fir the comment

  • how do you line up the gpu and stencil?

  • And how big are the balls?

  • Thanks for the video dude! Question, how hot did you put the reflow station when you applied it to the new solder points just before you put the chip back to the board? Thanks in advance!

  • Part 3:DD

  • Nice job. Where did you get your exact re-ball kit? I've seen them on eBay, but I want to make sure I get one that's proven to work. Thanks.

  • hey man, just wondering if you reball the cpu and gpu the same way. People say its pretty much impossible, but watching ur vids makes it seem possible. also, what kind of screws did you use in ur griddle? Let me know, thanks!

(i see ur nand chip is missing =D)

  • Hey man good video! Could you please post your heating profile for the gpu and southbridge? Also, what techniques do you use for setting up the stencil jig to make sure everything is aligned?

    I'm using the Aoyue 968 & a presto griddle.
