We continue with Matthew (Mate) to dig deeper into the stages of a child's life and the role that the parents should be playing. Sometimes the need of a parent to keep the child safe, and prevent exposure to negative influences, may not work for the growing child as they enter their teen years and beyond. It then shifts into a matter of questioning independence, etc.

The Master suggests that the parents and child should sit and talk, with respect to an appropriate time and place. This then allows the child to be very truthful about their problems so that the parents can acknowledge them. This does entail that the parent is acting out of love and empathy. Thus, the teaching of love is imperative in any stage of the child and parents' relationship.

However, in spite of the impact of the media, and what it teaches the growing teens, things do get difficult, But with love and understanding from both parties, it can happen. But parents are ultimately the environment-creators, and that may be the true problem to think about.
