Test Drive: 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg DSG (2/4)

Part 2/4 of my test drive of my mom's brand new 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg 2.0T with the 6spd DSG. This is the first day home for the Jetta, I love it so much and so does my mom! This part focuses on the DSG shifting, manual mode, and sport mode.

How does it handle in the snow?

@hankie24 we got this thing in February and we never had any problems with it using the OEM tires...we're still getting some winter tires for it though, the Continental ContiProContacts that come with it are "meh" at best for winter grip, not dangerous though

it would be pretty interesting to see my GTI race one of those. and yes i know ppl are gonna say its pointless cuz they have the same engine but GTI is lighter

@SRQshark yeah it's lighter and the Wolfsburg doesn't have launch control with the DSG

I had the older model Wolfsburg 2.0T DSG (2008) and man the new gauges look sweet. Definitely something for me to think about when the lease is up.

@mercmilan06 You can get it flashed to have launch control. I have an 08 WE jetta and when the mechatronic unit for the DSG failed at 10k miles they accidently flashed it to have LC like the GTI... I love it but barley ever launch cause that is bad for your clutch packs... Plus i use my s4 for hard driving. This car is great for gas mileage and long trips... Wish i bought a 10 they came with touch screens and black grills damit.

I have the same car, with water meth, intake and APR stage 2.. It smokes a majority of cars on the road with ease.
