Finally upgraded the BOXX

After 3 years of using my main workstation in stock form, I finally upgraded some of the components. I replaced the OEM branded 4GB's of RAM, with 8GB's of Crucial FBDIMM DDR2 800. I also replaced the old and worn out Quadro FX 1700 with a GTX 560Ti.

By todays standards, this machine is old, but it still works great and runs just as good as the day I got it.... 3 years ago!

On a side note, im thinking about putting together a training series on modeling with C4D. It will probably be available for download, and on DVD in anyone wants it in that form.

It seems like you're just investing in obsolete tech. DDR2? And RAM shouldn't be too expensive right now. I just got 16gb for 80$ so its pretty cheap. I'd watch your video as long as it isn't just text on the screen ;)

@invisghosty As ive said previously, the RAM is fully buffered, and is $600 for 16GB's. My board doesnt support anything else. Im not able to build or purchase a new system right now, so ill keep using what I have which works just fine for what I do.

I dont have a video camera, so the only thing I could display was images.

@invisghosty Oh ok lol.. Nah, I would never just have text on the screen. Any time I make a tutorial, or training series, I will be narrating it, like I do with all my other tutorials. :)
