I am impresed in her sleek lines, funels with wings. She was grand dame of the seas. If there was big interest to scrap her her right place would be in Le Havre as Floating hotel and museu French line to remember great time of Atlantic shiping.Alang should not be her fate. Around the 9 minute frame, I saw a chest of drawers that is alost identical to the one my mother stands in front of in a very old photo. I am convinced now, that the picture was taken on the France. She cruised on that ship twice. Thank you for posting.

I sailed on her for the Millenium cruise. She was a beautiful, fantastic ship!! She will always hold a very special place in my heart!!

Its very sad to see the end of all this wonderfull ships, but what is to do in an other way ? The iron vessels will be oxidated at some ten jears, this moving is not able to stop. Aeroplanes are more fast and dosnt cost so mutch money in service, only a few people are necessery for a transatlantic lineservice and it is carring some hundred passengers. Now this ships have no commercial worth !
Very, very sad, but so is the worled and the future !

Why? Why did this have to happen? I love this ship! I wish there is some way to bring back. Reanimation, anything. I really hate the scrap merchants. If there is a way to get rid of them, I'll take it.
