yeah, someone else got a higher time than that because of the same thing. I guess it's all luck.

Remember the training sessions say that Triple charged shots (the pink ones) reveal the enemy's weak spot? In this case, the weak spot is the area flashing red below his stomach shown when he jumps and he dies instantly if you hit him there with a single (or higher) charged shot.
My record in this stage in Real mode is 0'03''55 (he jumped right at the beggining of the battle and I nailed him) with ST Falcon, too bad I didn't record it, although it's saved in the game's battery.

weird. I thought you had to hit him to make him jump. at least in this case.

Sometimes he jumps by himself while firing his turbo shots at the same time. Check ChazDragoon's video on the Related vids. section.
If you can get that at the beggining of the battle, you can kill him quickly. I thought Tornado's shot weren't powerful enough to do it, but I guess I was wrong.

well, that's something I never knew. Or maybe never paid attention to. I haven't played for a good long time now, but I thought he had a jump that doesn't expose that point. I should pay more attention.
