Making a film of any length is stressful. Having to make a functional film in a single night is just plain suicide.
Each year, the many branches of the MeneMAC program (audio pro, film, drama, broadcast news, etc) are given run of the school for an entire night. Our instructors give us a worthy SAT word and leave us to make a film about it. Needless to say, you were lucky to catch a wink of sleep that night. But we've survived, and succeeded as well. For me, I have won in one or more categories during this competition since sophomore year. I find that stuffing yourself into a sealed box really brings out your creative juices.
