Ricardo Vieira _ Talkin about love _ 2009 NEW

Ricardo lives in Luxembourg where he was born of Portuguese parents. He was educated in Luxembourg and at the age of 10 attended music school where, for six years, he studied music notation and learned to play the saxophone. At 16, he left Luxembourg to go to Belgium where, for 5 years, he attended art college in Brussels and studied jewelry art.
In 2002 he returned to Luxembourg to follow his passion for music. He joined a gospel choir and quickly became the lead singer - the group performed live and toured extensively.

In 2005, he competed in the national song contest Searching the voice. He was selected as one of the four finalists and went on to win the contest.

This is when opportunity knocked: Jimmy Wagner and Marion Welter, then jury members, were very impressed and took Ricardo under their wing. Together they formed a group called Singers Unlimited, and continue to perform throughout Luxembourg.

In 2006 Ricardo was to meet probably the most important person in his career so far Mike Bell
Mike is a professional piano player and song writer who took Ricardo into his studio where they began to work on an album. Both are passionate about music and Mikes fabulous songs suited so well Ricardos exquisite voice.

A friendship is born and so too, a completed album. Ricardo signed to Mikes own label Straight Records
and the album, She Do
is due for release at the beginning of September 2009.

In 2008, Ricardo performed the title song of a Luxembourg-animation-movie Lotti vum Bastelduerf.

To enlarge his artistic repertoire, Ricardo has begun an acting career. He features in a thriller movie Mystery Tale which will be released in November 2009.

Ricardo is a highly talented young man. In addition to his singing prowess, he speaks five languages fluently. He has therefore been able to translate one of the album tracks "No one knows", into Portuguese which becomes Ninguem sabe nao, a bonus track 13. He has also co-written with Mike on two of the tracks: Track 6 Talkin about love and Track 10 Live it by the minute. All of this sets him aside as a truly world class act. He is ambitious and needs to be seen and heard on a bigger stage.
