What to expect after you arrive in Korea; specifically the procedure for the Alien Registration Card and subsequent medical exam.

  • Just wondering but do you get sent home if you don't pass some parts of the test. I should pass everything I've been getting yearly physicals for the passed five years

  • @AlyssasAdventures I never heard of someone gettng sent home form that. I doubt it.

  • Hey man, love the videos. Hope that your past 6 months have been good for you.

Do you know of any hospitals in Korea that use hair tests in the drug test? My best friend is heading overseas and he is freaking out about it.

  • @therocklobsterboston I haven't heard about that. They take blood and you pee in a cup.

  • @electricalbah I totally know how that would feel now that i'm here. Black people get even more stares here than white folks. Korean just aren't used to seeing (in person) people who are not Asian. Unless they live in Seoul.

  • @PrismaMD I am black and I went to korea, I think for White folks they see Asians as racist but believe me black people see it as normal because we get the same treatment in Europe and USA. I don't mean any hate but trust me, deep within just think about it.....

Think about a young black guy going for an interview in a southern all white school....how eyes brows would be raised!

  • @PrismaMD Extremely ignorant. First of all using a racial slur for someone from Asia. Second of all, when you're a white person in Asia, you're the foreigner, not them. You should visit, it's humbling and educational.

I've been to Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale few years back. Nice area and lots of Spanish speaking people from different countries other than Mexico as well as Haitians(they speak Creole/French?) I understand some cultures/people do not value high education unlike others. That's why teacher gets the blame but it's parent's and individual's responsibility whether they want to emphasize education or not.

Again, best of luck to you in South Korea!

  • @novajoke You have the right idea. I lived there for 10 years, and my sister became a teacher there a few years ago. Florida is a very large state with a huge mix of different people from all over the world. It's part of the culture, and most of the people are "not on the same page" with many core beliefs. It's a combination of things but education isn't something paramount to the youth and parents should be doing more about it.

  • @ericr747

Is that why that state of Florida has one of the lowest standards of education in America or is it due to non-English speaking people going to public school burdening public services? I'm just curious...... Why ask why? Most of my friends when I studied in the States were from China, South Korea, Japan and India but for some reason they outdid their American students it seems...
