@jonEricMusic Maybe the fast decay was from recording outside and having the volume soaked up more quickly. Whatever it was, it sounded great! Keep on picking. :o)

Robin, the microphone was just just in the phone that shot the video.
I remember it being quite hot that day and we were all looking for
shade- perhaps the temperature had something to do with the tone?

First time I saw you play I thought you were just some cocky ass dude showing off BUT Longtime since I relize you are guire the good picker..really like your free wheeling stuff . Thanks for sharing. Jon, that was the best picking I think I ever heard from you...awesome and the tone and fast decay sounded great too. Is that your regular banjo or another one? What mic is used and where it's played at the time sure has an effect on tone. Nice job!
