"Melancholia"
Directed by Lars Von Trier
Country of Origin: Denmark/Sweden
Language(s): English
Starring: Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsburg, Kiefer Sutherland, Alexander Skarsgard, Stefan Skarsgard, John Hurt
Summary
=======
When it comes to "End of the World" films, the focus is mostly on how to save the world or prevent the end of the world. You only see glimpses of the human psyche or even the true mentality of people as the world ends, especially people who have no connection with finding the solution. Most of the time, we either see the characters as part of who's going to save the world, or we just see everyone panicking in a frenzie where everyone is looting and rioting and running scared. But how would people really react if they had any inkling that the world might end soon, and that there was definate proof that it could and would happen?
This is "Melancholia".

Acting: B-
Scenery: C
Special Effects: B (especially since they were only used to fill a purpose, and not just thrown in there to show off; you don't see too much of the special effects in the film)
Soundtrack: A-

Overall (Not an average): B
