I totally agree with dumping bad friends. Women friends tend to set up "traps". I am very shy and it's hard for me to meet guys, especially ones that would bother with someone like me. The friends I had were loud and would "claim" every guy in the room. So something as simple as a guy saying, "excuse me", to get by, would set them off as if I stold him already. They were the best! I'm glad I got rid of them or I'd still be in a slump.

SO TRUE !!!! I just got through a bad "friendship" with 2 girls ( I am female) who were so jealous. They ran interference at every step to keep me from dating this really cute guy. When they could not convince me that he was a bad person (just because he is handsome) they resorted to outright cruelty towards me. They would tell me that I was not pretty enough to go out with "a guy like that", though I know he was attracted to me. I dumped my "friends" and started dating the cute guy.
