Sorry for the shit music, I didn't feel like changing the station during the video. 2004 Mazda 6 S 3.0 V6 in TipTronic Manual mode, without brake torquing, simply flooring it off the line. Traction control was off, and the time (7.10 seconds) was confirmed by the Beltronics Vector FX2. The video was shot on an abandoned runway.

  • Mazda 6s is known to have a little shift lag using tiptronic. Takes a bit getting use to when flooring.. But once you get it right... It picks up nice and smooooooth.

  • Taking it to redline makes it feel to me as if it shifts down and misses part of the powerband on the next gear.

  • I thought it was for the normal 6 too, I have it.

If it doesn't decrease at redline thanks for the tip! Wasn't sure if it was for the speed or all models

  • This isn;t the mazdaspeed 6...

the v6 makes power until around 6500rpm but it doesnt decrease much at redline anyway

  • Hey just a tip. The mazda 6 loses alot of its power after the 5,800 RPM range so I would shift around 5500-5800 to get max power. Anything over 5800 rpms you actually lose a bit of power
