A brief introduction, for those who don't know
An evil curse was laid here, a long long time ago
And to this day, we live the affliction bestowed
cause Lavender Town is where pokesouls go

and so, with this burden comes complications
cause mourning trainers travel to this very location
seeking vindication and without discrimination
you'll be offered in frustration a reputation annihilation

Another punk ass trainer waltzin in all shiny-eyed
Just a, small fry, a lost soul lead awry
He should know this is where pokemon come once they die

and your luck has run dry, but welcome to the debut
of the shady gang violence about to ensue
it's true, we're probably not exactly what you're used to
We don't normally fight with guns, so Charizard I choose you!

These are the lavender streets and they'll eat you alive
Ghosts and godly trainers, in this town they thrive
Your pokes will take a dive, the pokemon center will revive
Pray you'll make it out of here not life deprived

That's right, so lock your doors and keep your lights on
Cause right outside you know the underground poke-fight's on
2 gang trainers with 100s withdrawn
Trying to forget their past friends long-lost and gone

The people in these streets have nothing to lose
Anger built up inside, other trainer's they'll abuse
Drinking lots of booze, anti-depressant overuse
Their best poke-pals they could not rescue

and so adieu to all of you, not living the true life
cause unless you've lost a friend, you can't honestly view strife
subdued knife, and that'd naturally be enough for you right?
What if your pokemon became a ghost, sprite tonight?

The tight, bond you had most likely created
quickly abated, your mind cannot be vacated or sedated
the times you were elated, perhaps this loss was fated
friendships cannot be easily recreated

and then comes the hatred, and town with the curse
These lavender streets, can't say your life will be reversed
but I do guarantee in other's pain you'll be immersed
cause beatin up others couldn't possibly make things worse

anyone can have their entire life war torn
and filled with scorn the day their world was reborn
Cubone's mother died and now he's more than forlorn
