After the factory ECU reflash she will top now : ) The pause you see at 140 is a pretty big hill.

  • i havent flash my evo x ecu an i cant redline it.. do i need too reflash my ecu ?

  • @abielcruz

What year is your evo? The newer models come with the most up-to-date software. However if it is 2008 you should swing by the dealer for the update. This particular flash corrected some stumble at and above 5500RPM. If you can't redline your evo because of this I would get it checked out for sure.

  • i have a 2010 evo x gsr.. i test my evo today an i peaked at 7000 rpm at each shift but its seems its bieng restrainted or stressing get up too redline unlike yours it does it like nothing..i was thinking it was being held back back due too factory ecu settings? an thinking getting my ecu reflash for solution.. too stage 0 AMS reflash or thier other option cobb acessport, any ideas?

  • @abielcruz

Supposedly there is a flash counter built into the ECU of the EvoX. If you troll some boards dedicated to the evo you will see that several people have had their warranty voided because of this. Even though they went back to stock before they took their car back to the dealer. I just wanted to note that for you if you cared about your warranty. Oh the Cobb AP is a really nice tool but there are many many tuners that hate messing with it and will recommend the open source option.

  • @liveonthereartire oh i see so if i reflash with the cobb ap an even i returned stock the dealer would know about it cause of flash counter built into the ecu an void my warranty?

  • @abielcruz

That is the claim. I am not 100% sure of this happening, however, like I said some people have claimed it to be true. Now I can say for a fact that Mitsubishi trolls forums looking for people that post specifics about their car that they can trace to a car and a name. I know one person that had his warranty voided because he took his car to a racetrack and posted pictures of him and the car that day. Of course Mitsu found this and used it to void his warranty when his turbo died.
