  • @QueenBoadicea i use a food processor and it works fine. sometimes a little oil stays in the middle but its easy to avoid that area. AB has an episode about it on this channel where he talks ALL about it lol

  • @hodgrix I've tried making my own mayonnaise. (I prefer making my own to store bought because it's usually cheaper.) But my blender never seems got it to jell properly and it's useless trying it without one. It just doesn't set right, with the oil riding on top of the mixture. How well does your mayo set?

  • @QueenBoadicea yes that would work. unfortunately i tend to make more recipes with egg whites than egg yolks, and i currently have a bunch of yolks sitting in my freezer! time to make some mayonnaise...

  • @hodgrix As I previously stated, I don't separate 12 egg whites all at once. That IS tedious. What I do is make different recipes with egg yolks and freeze the egg whites over a period of time. They will keep for months in the freezer. When you're ready to use them, just thaw to room temperature and the rest is easy. For me, the tiresome bit is sifting the flour (my recipe calls for doing that four times).
