Well I live in Sweden and we got bombs going of over here now, so don´t even nominate Sweden as a succesful multicult country.

Specifically, multiculturalism fails when you have blacks and radical muslims.
Everyone else is ok except those two groups.

You ask a perfectly sensible question but should really ask for the multi cultural society to be stable and free of religious ethnic division
The answer is...there aint one.
That has not stopped wishy washy naive misguided to the point of ignorance secular liberals trying to create one and blaming everybody else as their dream work slowly changes to a nightmare.
Im speaking of the UK.

@spiritualbully it's seems you are finally understanding! Yes, that is why Australian multiculturalism works so well, there is a harmony between all the groups. Sure there are racists, and yeah there are some racially based attacks, but when you compare these to how often it happens, there are very few each year.
If defacto is nearly as good as official language, then why would it be referred to as defacto??? That's because it currently is, English is most spoken, but in every exam I have ever

In reply to previous comments; the definition of multiculturalism is many cultures combined in the one. That is why Australia is a good example. You will find that English is only the defacto language, there is no official one! Australia has an immigration system different to many others, and I will say yes the floodgates are somewhat opened, that is the only reason our population is growing. @MitchellRbrown meaning a new culture made from a combination of pre-existing cultures, and ultimately one uniform culture?
If there is no "official" language, does the government accommodate all others? If not, then it's de facto, as good as official.

Having lived in Australia for a decade and grown up in the UK for the first 2 decades of my life, I'd say it's working a lot better in Australia (with the exception of the aboriginals). than UK
