Cold-Frame Greenhouses, sometimes called hoop houses, are an inexpensive alternative to large-scale greenhouses and allow growers to produce various crops year-round. Extension Specialist Del Jimenez shows us how to construct a cold-frame greenhouse in this easy to follow, step by step video.
Funded by a Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education grant.
@gloorbit This greenhouse design and location are intended mostly for New Mexico and central Southwest areas, so the ideas would have to be modified for other areas.

It must not be windy in that area, yeah?
It would last maybe about one winter here in Walla Walla.
Question: If you put a wind break (trees) on the southwest side, the sunny and windy side for me, then you negate the advantage of the sun in winters, no?
