Mystic Stripers 2009

The Mystic Stripers Society presented its 70th annual parade on Feb. 19, and this parade was snakebit almost out of the gate. The whole thing came to a halt for 30 minutes on Church Street, while a tire was repaired. Later, the news reported that a masker fell out of a float and had to be taken to the hospital. But the show went on, and their theme, "The Royal Treatment," brought out some funny and unexpected floats.
