i saw a post about the OTA update to 2.1 update 1 JH7 - never saw an answer if ODIN is needed to go back to JF6 before continuing with a flash to a new ROM ..thanks

Hey I was just wondering if it really is necessary to flash stock with odin if the phone is brand new out of the box or if it's just an extra step you added for everyone else?

@blitzX5 Brand new out of the box there should not be a need to flash back to stock with ODIN.

I want to say how much I appreciate all your rom reviews, but most of all this one showing the step by step on how to install a new rom from scratch. I often refer to it when I am changing from one rom to another. You got me started with Cognition being the first rom I flashed. Now, about 20 roms later, I still view it. Thanks so much. Will odin3 work to flash rooted stock 2.2 to stock 2.1?

When I try to drag anything into my SD card it gives me an error and keeps saying "try again". It only happens in Debugging mode though.
