This is a typical yirdaki used by the Daygurrgurr-Gupapuyngu clan, it has the sort of acoustic characteristics that are considered as quintessentially Gupapuyngu. The tune played by Dharrapuy is raki', Wunyburl - string, part of a very important song series. He explains that other clan groups (from Yirrkala, Elcho Island, Lake Evella etc.) use different types of yirdaki, but for the Gupapuyngu, this is their favoured type of yirdaki with the right pitch and sonic attributes.
