blue ray wont improve your speed, a ssd would help and the T7600 processor is the logical upgrade.

to speed up this computer, switch out the dvd drive for blu ray, and upgrade my processor for home entertainment. Has anyone done this to a m9750 thanks for any advice.

Im not really a fan of this computer already. I cant even open microsoft dvd maker because the graphics card doesnt support it. The hard drive is quite small, and the battery doesnt last very long. the frame of it is very big, webcam is low quality. It does have a cool alien head on the front of it tho!!! haha. Anyways, I was wondering, if I were to get a EVGA GeForce GTX460 1 GB Superclocked GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card will it improve my computer. Im not that into computers just want

sager are better .i ve got the NP 5135 is little bit old but it does the job .never had any troubles with it :)

People don't buy from Alienware. This brand is complete crap. I don't mean to be a troll or anything like that, but Alienware sucks. I bought this same computer almost 3 years ago, and I've already sent it to Alienware 3 TIMES!! The first time it was the video card, second time it was the video card again, but when I received it back they had to format my hard drive and they FORGOT TO TELL ME!!! So I lost all my data. The third time it was the video card. Also the cooling on this computer sucks.

@guido5770 next time you go saying shit to someone who clearly isnt that intelligent think again cause i have this laptop and it is and was an absolute piece of shit and so is alienware. probably 3 months of use and the motherboard died, got it fixed came back without my fucking hard drive. sent it back again was dead when i got it they said it was the motherboard again i told them to go fuck them selves and i am going to tell everyone i see that they sell absolute crap computers.

@switchisoff First off look at the upload date before you comment it is over 3 years ago idiot. Second this is one of the most highly prized brands of gaming laptop out there and as i mentioned before the upload date is over 3 years ago. Technology gets upgraded about every 6 months... So while you sit back and think you made a good comment about a "shitty computer with an alien on it" think about what your responding to before you type.
