I think youll have a problem if the pond's drainage system malfunctions and it rains...
-
hope its sealed well. seepage into your house won't be much fun.

@LordEcon SOMEONE HAS BEEN READING TOO MANY BOOKS I THINK..... YES I AGREE U NEED CLEAR WATER FO KOI BUT ONLY FOR VIEWING PLEASURE. KOI CAN HAPPILY LIVE IN CLEAR OR MURKY WATER, PROVIDING THE WATER QUALITY IS TOP NOTCH THATS ALL THAT MATTERS, & AS FOR 1000 GALLONS PER KOI, THATS CRAP, IVE HAD A 1500 GALLON KOI POND FOR TEN YEARS, HOME TO 15 HAPPY HEALTHY KOI. AS LONG AS THEYRE FED, & LOOKED AFTER PROPERLY, THEYRE LIKE PIGS IN SHIT.

you should put a water fall in the back of the pond with some rocks.

@bubbabouyi i use enamel epoxy since we use it on our barge and tugboats.if the paind could survive the high seas, then i'm sure it can survive the pond...:-).anyway there are lots of waterproofing paints available, just avoid those elastomeric paint because they peel off easily
