Libya: Where is the Skeptical Media?

The military assault on Libya by the US and allies continue. And today an F-15 fighter jet that went down because of a technical malfunction reminding us of the costs and dangers. So why is the media shielding away from talking about the risks, and asking if this war is worth it? Jamie McIntyre with Lineofdeparture.com discusses.

That sentence discredits this man from ever being an objective journalist. International relations has nothing to do with an abstract concept of good vs evil. The belief that it does is a propagandistic tool to make intellectual thinking infantile.

He couldn't be more honest, he is telling you why the U.S. can never be objective and will exclusively root for the home team like its a baseball game. The level of their journalism is pathetic.

All he's doing is using a shortcut phrase to say that he thinks America's actions and motivations in foreign policy and affairs are generally conceived and carried out with good intentions. It sounds unelegant but it's a fair expression.

How does a professional journalist not know that it's 'you and me' in this context and not 'you and I'? Teachers even teach you that trick in grammar school where you take away the other object to see how it sounds: 'Did he owe it to I?' Uh... no.

If Democrats criticized Obama, then their arguments against Bush's wars go out the window. If the Republicans criticize him, then they criticize the Bush foreign policy. It's all politics. I will say it though, Obama is a joke. If he is so concerned with human rights, he would be dealing with the problems in Ivory Coast and other places. He is concerned with OIL. After Qadaffi is dealt with, I expect to see a shiny new BP platform in the area.

I'm pretty sure this year wont end well. A transition is on the rise and no one in america is prepared. Maybe we need a president who's more in love with money than foreign countries and war. DOnald trump....mitt romney. Then at least we will maybe invest in the right things.

@pettycuntweasel,I'm an American citizen from NYC and I don't like war at all especially what it does to the soldiers who come back from war. What I hate the most about it is that the US Government cuts off their helpful programs and don't give them the help they need.
