Here is the 1st video of the Jyotish Lessons available at http://www.jyotish.tv. This a a mere introduction describing where Indian Astrology comes from and it branches.
@PabloPena108 Earliest writing is Egypt and Babylon. Common knowledge - use your internet. Writing is dated by the writing, not by the events mentioned (due to pre-writing transmission). What's the astronomical configuration mentioned in the Rig-Veda that must be from 7-6kBCE? Astral omens becomes Astrology with intro of horoscopos/ascendant circa 3-100BCE near Hellenistic Egypt, later went to India with Yavanajataka . But "Vedic" astro is over 90% late medieval innovations, not Vedic at all.
@twanjf Sorry to correct you but the Vedas actually are the most ancient writings known to man. You may not like but it is so. The fact that the Rig-Veda mentions a stellar configuration that corresponds to a date from 6000 B.C. to 7000 B.C. - the astronomical Ashvini era, while not proving, certainly indicates it is at least that old. Most scholars agree on this. If you know of older texts please let us know.
The Vedas are not the oldest writings known to humanity. I'm not sure what your assertion that Sanskrit is the oldest language in the world is supposed to mean. Horoscopic astrology came to India through Hellenistic astrology, and classical Indian astrology as you practice was largely formed in the medieval period. You jumble history to present it as if it is an unbroken tradition since the time of the writing of the Vedas, which is historically inaccurate and misleading, and ethnocentric.

@twanjf You look to be great scholar, get lost if you are. It is for beginers and openminded people , not for some eccentrics. Understand?
Post your version in YouTube, we will watch it too.
