Thomas seems to want to beat the Amtrak Genesis! :) (Think he's a "wanna-be" Acela!).
By the way - Bachmann is coming out with Thomas in Large Scale! :)

This is an old Lionel Large Scale version. You can get them on ebay - - but I highly suggest waiting for Bachmann's upcoming release of Thomas Large Scale probably in time for Christmas.

great fun, nice layout. Why the heck don't they make a G scale Thomas. Are they afraid we won't buy anything else. Maybe if they just made a shell to put over our other trains would be nice. Its every kids first suggestion when they visit our railway. Wheres Thomas? Driving me nuts. Thanks for the vent.

My son had to have Thomas - so I bought a used one on ebay. You would think a model train company would match products to high demand - - I can only guess that patents or trade rights have prevented more G Scale Thomas trains.
I am wishing for a quality "life like" Thomas to be built in G scale. The Lionel G Scale is nice as the eyes move - but the quality is not anything near LGB, Marklin, etc.

Their slogan, "You can find IT on ebay" is true in this case. Search for "Lionel Thomas G" - that should get you what you are looking for. They have been out of production for quite a while.
