@pegger18636 I think the same. rowling lead us towards harry hermione and then just flushed this away. I think she made a mistake aswell. and I think it was beacause she kept writing and harry potter got so famous and she 'forget' her first plan with pairings

@pegger18636 Harry treated Hermione a lot better than Ron did. Ron insulted her, fought with her, and ignored her for the better of six years. I ship Harry/Hermione for all of the times she supported him and looked out for him even when he didn't want her to, and for the fact that she has never walked out on Harry. He's complimented her, deferred to her, and helped her. Ginny was never developed as much as Hermione was, and I don't think Ron ever developed much at all.

So when Harry and Ginny suddenly end up together it just doesn't feel right, but rather awkward and weird based on the few interactions they do have. Not only is Ginny a particularly bad match for Harry, (I even think Luna would've been a lot better/compatible) but generally I think Rowling made a mistake in the sense that its only natural for most to want and hope for Harry and Hermione to be together since like I said the 3 are by far the ones we are most fully connected with.
