@dcoursey82 Many corrected me by saying it was an SP6 after I said it was a Hancock 3. (had them backwards). If we can't find true proof, then oh well. No use argueing over it.

@dcoursey82 I was told that the whistle #700 wears is an SP6 after many corrected me saying that it was a Hancock. Look at all the comments on videos of #700 when you search her up on Youtube.

@dcoursey82 I beg to differ, but someone who works in the roundhouse where she's based out of commented on a video of her running and says she wears a SP-6 chime. Plus, the notes that this whistle sings are too high pitched to be a Hancock 3. Look around Youtube, you'll find it.

@PereMarquette1223 Are you talking about SP&S 700? If so, it most certainly does NOT have an SP 6....it has a Hancock 3-chime just like 4449. Listen to the notes of each whistle...you'll only hear 3.

@nicholasbreeden #700 has a Southern Pacific 6-chime, which I think would sound good on #4449.

well this whistle is a Hancock 3 Chime...(I know the guy who owns it)......and that is the same whistle that 4449 has so technically it IS the daylight whistle...but 700's sounds alot like it too, although I forget what kind of whistle 700 has.

Actually, it sounds almost identical to the SP&S 700 whistle to me.

The Daylight's whistle is a little more gutteral - deeper and more moany.
