Welcome to Nanjivey Cottage

300 hundred years ago Nanjivey Cottage stood surrounded by fields and open countryside, gradually the town of St Ives grew and expanded, but the cottage remained. Reputedly one of the first properties in the town to have electricity, being the home of the electrical engineer who worked at Trenwith Mine.

Exposed granite and beamed ceilings are just two of the many features of this intriguing detached property. Nanjivey Cottage is situated midway up the Stennack but is convenient for all the facilities that St Ives has to offer.

Entering the cottage through the front porch you will be surprised at the size of the lounge, approx. 26 feet where at one end stands a granite inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There are window seats and exposed granite around the windows.

At the other end is the kitchen/diner which is equipped with a gas range cooker, American style fridge/freezer with water and ice dispenser, dishwasher and all the other things you'd expect to find. Off the lounge there is a very handy ground floor cloakroom with W.C along with the utility room where the washing marching and tumble drier are kept. Along from this is a small general store room.

The cottage has 4 double bedrooms one of which has twin beds and is equipped for up to 8 guests. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and it's own ensuite facilities including walk-in power shower, basin and W.C.

Two of the other bedrooms have window seats with pleasant views down the Stennack towards the town and sea, both have built in wardrobes. The smaller fourth bedroom overlooks the rear garden area.

In the pretty back garden there is a pond with goldfish.
