Manuel and Valente Valenzuela are U.S. war veterans facing deportation. Manuel volunteered for the Marines in 1971, and Valente volunteered for duty in 1965, and he was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. Both brothers were given an honorable discharge after serving a full term in Vietnam.
In 2009 the Valenzuela brothers received letters from Homeland Security Department stating that the government was seeking to deport them for misdemeanor crimes they had committed decades earlier. The Valenzuela brothers are fighting for their right to remain in their country but also for their comrades.
Hundreds of U.S. wars veterans are been deported from the United States. The Valenzuela brothers have started a movement to repatriate those U.S. soldiers and bring their families together.
The Valenzuela brothers traveled to Washington, DC, and protested at the U.S. Congress and the White House in February 2011. They have spoken at colleges and other public places and have given countless news and radio interviews.
The Valenzuela brothers will be traveling again to Washington D.C. in July 2011, where they are expected to meet with president Barack Obama. UPDATE: the Valenzuela brothers met briefly with Obama for a few seconds during the NCLR Annual Conference, but they didn't get a response about their cases.

This is a very valid issue that they are bringing up however, these two individuals draw some red flags that I cannot get past to move on to the issue. There are some gross violations representing their military service. I would like to know if there is complete verification of their military service. I understand that people forget some things, but this is too much.

similar to what they did to our brothers "the apache" after the army used them to help catch goyathlay (geronimo) and then they were kicked out of the army and imprisoned! its bullshit! and shameful! fucking shameful!

If they one day get deported I hope they grab an american flag and wipe there ass with it. This is despicable. If a white person is born in mexico to american parents he's automatically considered an american by the us embassy but if an american of mexican descent has a child born in mexico i guess the american by birth law doesn't apply?

Nothing is new under the Sun! Just like jewish german soldiers who fought gallantry to defend the Kaiser's Germany, these two Hispanic American are being strip of their rights for servicing an unthankful nation. ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL AS LONG AS YOU ARE WHITE AND AGREE TO THEIR VERSION OF LIBERTY.

I think serving in the US military should be a way to become a legal immigrant. Or at least be considered when when a person applies for citizenship. These people have paid a price to be here.
These tow men are legal since their mother is a US citizen.

We need an organized campaign, like letter writing, or confronting Congressmen & Senators in their home districts. If the Valenzuelas have organized that I didn't hear it in the vid. Btw, I hate to be critical, because you do so much great work, on behave of the people, which I appreciated very much, but you really need to try harder to to get your interviewees to a place with much less background noise, which many of your videos have,or maybe you can get an expert to remove the noise afterwards
