The banking system was not left to the free market; banks were pressured into making loans to at risk people in order to stimulate equal housing lending during the Clinton administration. The government banks then bought up the at risk loans in hopes to make a profit through higher interest rates; does fannie may and freddie mac ring a bell.

If your old enough, you can remember when pollution was so bad that some rivers actually started on fire. The problem corrected with corporate pollution regulations. This issue can be dealt with the same way. NOT by lobbyist written bills form both parties. B.S.
Everything has been hijacked by the criminals, and their lobbyists; including our current "crap in trade/carbon tax, with the EMAILS THAT PROVE THE IMF/U.N. TAX&GOVERNANCE SCAM.
Now we are get the escalation of the BUSHTARD WARS. CHANGE!

Yes we all know how lousy our police, fire, roads, and military are. I suspect that's not what you're thinking of, but when you make broad, fact-less statements like that you need to be challenged and called out.

Classic, Joe tugging on emotional strings, what a joke.
Leading Americans around by the nose to do what? Everything the government touches goes to shit. I'm so pissed.

one thing for sure we can't trust our government. Health care the way it is now doesnt work because it is corporate run, insurance companies are making the decision, we are but a number to them. The Government cannot be trusted either. Health care should be in the hands of caring individuals who know about health, and we all need to take responsibility for our own health and not rely on a system that is governed by big pharma. It's a broken system, but Gov won't help, it will be worse.

when I hear the GOP saying we should leave everything to a self-regulating free market, I just bristle...we did that with the banking system, and look how good that worked out.
The insurance industry is a parasite on Americans. Raising rates at a vast rate, dropping people when they need coverage the most, refusing to cover who needs it the most. If there was a "trigger" it was pulled years ago.
Fuck the teabagger screamers, fix health care now!
