  • Yes Buckshot LaFunke, he is/was. Died 1988? He was a friend of mine. We made the album 'Seven singers and a Horn' 1979 and my real first album 'To Build' 1980 The Soesja Citroen Sextet. I recorded several songs of Nedley on my albums, like CELONA and Dark Soul. This song was recorded for the Dutch television.

  • Nedly Elstak was the father of the famous Dutch DJ Paul Elstak

  • @VenlonianPictures Not at all my dear. He was the brother of colonel Elstak from Suriname.

Yes, You're right, but Nedly Elstak is the father of hardcore DJ and producer Paul Elstak which is his son.

A big and famous family then!

  • You mean, that is Nedley at the piano? I remember him as a small, delicate man who played an impressive trumpet.

  • Yeaaah

  • The Linda Lawson version is amazing. Shame it's not up on youtube.

  • I love this song. I used to have a cd with Linda Lawson singing it.

  • Phenomenally deep tonal quality for a woman. Awesome highs as well around 2:40.
