In this remade episode of my Vista tips series, I show you how to disable UAC (user account control) in Windows Vista. This will require a restart of your machine and it should wok on all versions of Vista. I advise you leave this on if you have people such as kids and parents to stop them from messing up the machine.
Also if you do not have a password this feature is pointless keeping on.
Q&A
Q: Will this slow the computer down A: No
Q: Can you do this for XP? A: Considering XP doesn't have UAC that's a pretty stupid question to ask.
Q: Why benefit does this bring A: Stops that annoying security message from coming on when you try to change a setting or install something
Q: Will this disable any Anti-virus programs A: No it shouldn't
Q: Can I turn it back on A: Yeah just do the same thing but make sure the box is ticked
