Broad Street Bullies is a 2010 documentary film produced and directed by veteran documentary filmmaker George Roy for HBO Sports. It chronicles the National Hockey League's (NHL) Philadelphia Flyers from their beginnings as an expansion team in 1967, to their back-to-back Stanley Cup championships (1974, 1975), and three straight Finals appearances (1974--76).
The film includes clips and photos from the era, along with interviews with players, writers, broadcasters, and other individuals involved with the Flyers and/or NHL hockey during that period. It is narrated by Liev Schreiber.

  • We don't have to apologize to nobody! Great documentary fine job George Roy &Liev Shrieber.Habs won in 76&3 others but who cares? There is know story in that. This tells a great story. This is the hockey I played growing up not this watered down can't finish a check crap they are throwing at NHL fans now! Gordie Howe&Ted Lindsey knocked out more teeth than Shultz ever did & there in the Hall of Fame! The Habs had 1 of the biggest nitwits of all time John Ferguson! KO'D by Simon Nolet !

  • Clarence Campbell and the NHL seem to forget that the league was a dirty one long before the Flyers arrived. In fact, it was because of the dirty play of the St. Louis Blues that the Broad Street Bullies were assembled. If the league had policed itself when it should have, there would have been no BSB. But the NHL's "dirty little secret" (brutality) was exposed by the Flyers and Ed Snider who showed that they had had enough of the league's BS and handed them their collective asses. Problem?

  • Growing up in Flin Flon, I remember Clarke and Leach playing for the Bombers. Seeing them win the cup in 1975 while playing for Phildelphia was amazing!!!! This video brings back a lot of memories.

  • @gfscareface13 Really? what sport do you like football where a bunch of 200 pound guys jump on you and start a big hump fest or soccer: Oh my shoelace omg is it ok will i be able to play agian or basketball where a player gets bumped and its a automatic foul.

  • I personally believe that the story of the Champion Flyers is WHY so many teams and fans these days want a Championship so bad. The bigger picture, they unified lifted the spirit of a broken, hard-lived city. And everyone wants that. It's beyond the trophy.

  • Maybe the greatest documentary ever made.

  • hockey is Gay!

  • I don't know much about hockey but I know Norm Green sucks, makes a lot more sense now knowing Minnesota was one of the original six.

  • 46:47 jeez, Clarence does look pissed.

  • "From the time I got here we hated the Rangers" good to see some things never change.

  • @RuddFvcker8374 NONE. The BSB would kill the "Bad Boys" of N***aball any day of the week, not even close.
