Hi there! This is Ace of Spades! In this tutorial i'll show you some basic stuffs about coloring with Photoshop. We'll start talking about colors, how to choose them and how to blend them in order to obtain a nice skin gradient. We know that skin has tons of different color values (red,yellow,orange,purple,blue,brown,etc), in this simplified tutorial we will take care about 5\6 colors on the same hue. I'll also explain how to obtain a nice skin texture that will give to our rendering a natural and nice effect. Practicing with the creation of a Gradient Sphere will help us to pay attention to light source on a solid object. I use always it when i have to practice with colors or to experiment with new stuffs.
Tool used: Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch + Photoshop CS4

I thought the color pallete was a result of picking random colors. I didnt know that it'd represent the color gradient.

I am fairly new to Photoshop I don't understand after creating the sphere which I have done how it can help with the skin??? I thought it would be creating some kind of gradient? What is the sphere used for after you apply all the colours??
