Longest track "Mountains" at first repeats the Fleetwood Mac trick on "Oh Well" of the lead-singer several times singing on his own followed by a guitar-riff. Then it all stops, and Vangelis joins in to accompany a long difficult acoustic guitar-part in the best seventies guitar-freakery tradition. This plus some weird percussion creates a slightly "666" atmosphere to end this album.

AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL. Back in the 80's, i had a greek pen pal (i was living in Puerto Rico) who sent me a cassette w/2 hours of classic & modern greek music. It became a soundtrack of my life. This song is on it, but it sounds different, like it's another band's version. WHERE CAN I FIND THIS ALBUM?? Check out also the stuff Vangelis produced with Irene Papas. Viva los Griegos!

Socrates Phos is one of the best albums ever made - worldwide!
