@musikclassher0 and @halaluani: I found this version to be too brassy and showy, since I prefer a more reflective interpretation of this song. Ann is great, but I think this performance was intended to be bright and spectacular to promote the Broadway show and carry through the outdoor space. For contrast, check out "For All We Know (with Freddie Cole)".

@Vidolizer This woman is spectacular and has more soul in her pinkie finger than you probably do. I noticed that the points that you picked out were the only 2 places in the song where she growled a little. It is a technique that if done well, which it was here, is the epitome of blues. What the hell are you talking about?

I rather agree with vidolizer - a bit too much ornamentation for my taste in a coupla places. In general, though - WOW!

I'm exhausted (and green with envy) after listening to Ann put forth so much power, range and fluidity in her voice. What an amazing gift she has! I love it!
