  • I'm curious about the same thing. A friend has an old broadcast rig we got a 4kv 1.5A transformer out of that was CCS rated at it seems like it's a good bit larger. I would like to know if that guy there is CCS rated or not.... Although I know some of the older "broadcast" iron was a good deal bigger....

  • Yes it's 1.2 Amp CCS Peaks to 2 amps. AROUND 80 POUNDS

  • it is 3000 volts Ac and 1 amp ccs

  • The amps that I have seen you build are a true work of art!

  • Anyone know what the secret is behind winding a tank coil? never understood how they selected varible capacitors and coil turns, length, I.D. ect. Got to be more to it then taken a shot in the dark guess at it.

  • you state in the comments 4.2-Kv Dc 1.2amps. what are the actual specs of the power transformer? is the transformer a 4200vac unit at 1.2 amps ccs? could you clarify the specs?
