Their is life and death in the power of the tongue, if you tell your child that he is worthless over and over again then you are speaking death to tour child and not life.. Their is no twisting in Proverbs 18:20-21"" A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. The only twisting I see is manipulation in this video.

"the tongue has the power of life and death and death and those that love it will eat its fruit" (Proverbs 18:21)
if you speak death over yourself, then you will reap the fruits of death. or you can speak life over yourself. thats not false doctrine. our words are powerful. the Lord upholds all things by the WORD of His power.

One last post: A warning to JO's followers 2 Peter 2:12 and 13...
"But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
"And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, [as] they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots [they are] and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;"
JO is leading you all into hell, it's the truth!

...or they're in danger of the judgement.

@aioee 2Peter 2:1 (cont'd): "even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."
Continuing 2Peter 2:2- 3"And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
THIS is JO, right there. He's Satanic and dangerous. His followers must repent or...

@aioee No, Joel Osteen doesn't get it.
John 14: 6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Matt 7:15, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
2 Peter 2:1 "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies..."

When unbelief is taught as doctrine, and is declared sacred and orthodox, the scriptures themselves become heresy...and the heretic is brought down. Historically, these have been called martyrs by the new orthodoxy that they inspired...who armed themselves likewise to attack anyone who saw in the Word and the Promise a Truth that threatened their See.
Jesus tells us not to judge other. So is this your place to judge a man on his beliefs. Many scriptures back up the fact that our negative words impact what God can do in our lifes. The children of Israel complained against God which stopped the 1st generation from entering the promise land. Our speech can't stop God from doing things he wants to do. Except in our lifes cause negative words so lack of faith. Without faith it is impossible for God to move in our lives.

@jameccacassel "Without faith it is impossible for God to move in our lives." What are the implications of that statement? For one, it says that God is not omnipotent. That is unscriptural. Faith is not some mysterious substance that one draws on for power. Rather, faith is a gift given by the Holy Spirit. There is nothing I can say or do that will tie God's (metaphorical) hands. To say otherwise puts me in a position of power over God - which is heretical and incoherent.

the power of life and death are in the tongue in a sense we can speak the words of life by speaking the word of god or the seed of death by speaking another belief

@PUSHUP2YA There is power in words - but our words don't impact what God can or can not do. Our words don't have the power to change reality outside of our own psychological reaction to them. God is not limited by what we say. He is sovereign, we are dirt. :) Dirt doesn't tell the creator what's what.

It's the same old nonsense of Copeland, Hagin, Capps and a host of others too numerous to mention. A lot of it was plagiarized from EW Kenyon by Hagin.
His famous little book, You can have what you say was heavily promoted in the late 70s. People think God is Santa Clause or something. The only miracle we really need is the new birth through the power of God the Holy Spirit who draws us to Christ. God bless you.

I mentioned this tie in an earlier video - I think it is important to look past Kenyon all the way to Phineas Quimby. His "positive confession" and birthing of the mind-sciences (Christian Science, New Age, etc) is seen very strongly when you study the false teachings of Copeland, Hagin, et al. Thanks for your comment and support!
