C4-2008 entry: XRick

XRick is a clone of Rick Dangerous ported to SEGA Saturn by VBT. The XRick Website says:

"Walk through the maps, avoid traps, kill the Bad Guys ... and try to stay alive long enough to accomplish your mission!

Rick can fire bullets, lay sticks of dynamite, walk, crawl, climb, and also poke walls or Bad Guys with his stick. Poking walls can trigger traps, open doors, etc. although sometime a dynamite stick or a bullet is needed ... go figure."

XRick has been ported to a lot of different platforms, because it uses the SDL library. On SEGA Saturn, an SDL wrapper is used, which maps SDL to existing Saturn libraries. The game is an entry to the SEGA Saturn Porting Party '08/'09.
