  • As with aluminum and carbon fiber, not all frames are made the same. Bamboo is especially prone to variation with all the amateur builders getting into it. How to achieve bottom bracket stiffness and torsional rigidity is not well understood by most. That was the case with early aluminum and carbon frames as well.

  • bamboo is a horrible building material..... i bought one a while back as a novelty type bike, and i can turn a little over 1500 watts, on an easy sprint mabey 30 mph the bottom bracket area just got destroyed.... bamboo sucks which is why i only ride carbon fiber and aluminum composite frames
