I born was born in Gourock, we imigrated as a family to NewZealand in 1954. My Dad was a bricklayer and his last job was to brick-in the tower hill due to vandilisim. He put our names in concrete on the floor of the tower, left a local paper, photos and a letter explaining about our family going to NZ. A time capsule that maybe be opened in many years to come......went back to Gourock in 1987 and amazed at what i could remember of bonnie Gourock

Thanks for the lovely posting. I'm coming to Gourock in May 2011. My mother was born in Gourock: sadly, she passed away when I was a bairn, so I'm coming to see where she was born and raised.
