Seventh Moon (MOVIE REVIEW)

SPOILERS !!!

This supernatural horror movie was released in 2008. It stars Amy Smart and Tim Chiou. It was directed by Eduardo Sanchez, who was also one of the directors of The Blair Witch Project.

This was a mediocre movie. It was just about this young married couple visiting China. They get ditched in the middle of nowhere and start getting chased by these "demons" or "ghosts" who only come out on the seventh lunar month or some shit like that.

Not a lot of gore, some scratches here and there, a car gets covered in blood. The dialogue was pretty vapid, mostly the young couple bickering and whining. There's a weird cult at the end. Lots of shaky cam.

I thought this was a pretty good concept for a movie. If the director had chosen to maybe include more violence and put more intensity in the performances, the movie could have been much better. There wasn't a lot of pay off in this flick. It wasn't terrible, I did find it mildly entertaining, but had plenty of room for improvement.

It´s according to old chinese tradition about the seventh lunar month. One year has 12 months, the next year has 13 months the year after has 12 months etc etc. Following calendars has/had Lunisolar calendar (wich is as I stated above) Hebrew, Buddhist, Hellenic, Hindu lunisolar, Tibetan, Chinese, Mongolian and Korean calendars are all lunisolar, as was the Japanese calendar until 1873. And as a buddhist/shintoist I think it´s disrespectfull to adress is as "some sh-t"

I meant no offense. It's just that the movie did a very poor job explaining exactly what was going on. Never once did it elaborate on what a "seventh lunar month" was. I'm sure the lunar calender is fine and dandy.

Yeah, it was only sort of ok. Could have been much better. There's a lot of butt hurt Blair Witch fans bitching about it online.

Or if I was one of those people in that house, I´d move away from that part of the country. Did they have healthy brain?!? Yeah and then I´d tell all people in China and world, don´t go there, don´t go there :)) They´re crazy and they want to see you dead. :)) They are very well o.k. with the fact that some monsters want to kill you. Yeah, it´s just a movie but I think logical if I don´t like something. It´s different than the Blair Witch project, they were lost in the BWP.

I just know that normal people would think logical and they would want to destroy them somehow, no matter if they´re dead or not. And this guy, who betrayed them, I knew that he had some bad intentions. It was obvious.

The first part was good and it looked like one of the best movies ever - Blair Witch project but when they found this house and they wanted to sacrifice them, I was so unhappy and crazy about that, I didn´t like it, those killers-monsters, they were dead and they still had to kill them? Why? The reason? Some myth from China. I can´t believe that sh*t. Yeah, Blair Witch looked like some ghost or something, those monsters, they looked very very well alive. I´d kill them again, even after death.

Man I like your reviews becouse you say what you want to say and that is why i subscribe. Personaly I didn´t got offended I just thought it was a bit "over the top", so no need to appologize to me or anyone as I see it.

And I will stay away from this movie becouse we have agreed before on the movies I´ve seen that you have reviewed.

Right, but if someone doesn't know that and the movie doesn't explain it well, it is just "some shit".
