You can still get great performance without overclocking/turbo right?

u turned it up to 1.5 DONT DO THAT PEOPLE... THAT IS WAY TOO HIGH, YOU DONT NEED THAT MUCH FOR 4GHZ.... 1.5 is the max voltage the cpu can take... the life of it will most likely be reduced alot... i got 4ghz at 1.38-1.4 vcore.... turn off vdroop...

lol what i do is give the turbo boost more space go far insted of just overclocking and overheating the cpu

@ailouros1982 turbo boost adjusts itself, it can hit 3.2 ghz on your cpu but that's only when u are using just 1 core. the less cores u use the faster the clock speed gets. thats why you see 2.8 when u are using all cores

i have the Intel core i5 750 at 2.66 GHz and with the turbo boost at 2.80. How can i unlock the turbo boost at 3.10 max like Intel says??

@chrisangelini I have a older 860 but it works really well still now but the experts are always going to say somethings rubbish when something new comes out but I always remember the line from star trek TNG because it is apt - just because somethings old does not mean its junk. my i7 will run rings around alot of celeron dual core and Intel core2 quad bases

How can i turn off Turbo Boost in Rampage III Extreme Bios? Any help would be appreciated!!!

@chrisangelini aight
Experts elsewhere are advising to avoid the three digit i7's like the plague. They are saying that you must go with i7 2600k or you will live to regret it.

@godsstruggler Now, yes. A year ago, when this was posted, the first-gen Core processors were Intel's fastest.

but if you have it overclocked does turbo boost still apply? will it boost it higher than your overclock?

@nottinmatterz2day Generally if you overclock you want to disable Turbo Boost.
