Thinking it was like seasoning cast iron, I haplessly went about doing that to my unglazed pottery. However, it never worked. It always smelled like rancid oil afterwards. I suggest you boil salt water in the pot, drain it off and submerse in water for a long while.

  • cataract season is upon us!

  • This is definately not the way I should have done it!

  • I thought one only "seasoned" cast iron?

  • you're probably right! I just seasoned it just because It is 'raw' bisque fired clay. I'll have to google it.

  • Your hair is gorgeous Nancy. You should omit your hat more often. I know, I know, it's your signature. but once in awhile, show off those beautiful locks, sandy

  • Thanks Sandy,

I have been doing that more lately, as I am sometimes too lazy to find a hat!

I'm glad you're on the mend!

    love,

    Nancy
