Avatar Passes Titanic Record

After six weeks in U.S. theaters, director James Cameron's film Avatar made more than $35 million over a weekend, breaking the box-office record for his 1997 hit Titanic. Ben Tracy reports.

Yes people avatar isn't the best movie ever but neither is titanic so all you titanic fans crying because avatar replaced your favourite film need to get that into your heads like the avatar fans. There both good films can't we just agree on that.

I have to admit i believe both avatar and titanic are a great movie, but never judge a movie that you never watched. So next time before posting your comments watch the movie then judge it.

Keep in mind Gone with the Wind is also an older movie and has had numerous successful re-releases since 1939

Or maybe the best way to say it is that adjusted for inflation no movie has surpassed Gone With the Wind at this point.

They said GWTW would be adjusted to $6 billion dollars, but I read somewhere else more like $2.9 billion.
