@ColtDeltaElite10mm I disagree. They're a great way to recycle decommissioned shipping containers. They're tough as heck. You can add onto them more easily and cheaply than traditional construction. You can also make them look however you want. The poster of this video also shows one with an awesome stucco finish.
Besides, what's wrong with white trash? I can't afford a traditional house, and this is vastly better than a mobile home, for a fraction of the price.

Other than welding these for misplaced disaster victims, what's the purpose of them? It's pretty much whiskey tango (white trash) if you live in one.

You spot weld it? Should you lay a bead?

You can eliminate the conventional roof by welding some narrow C-channel between the containers as a splice/gutter. Stitch weld it then seal and roof coat.
No puddling, no problem.
Just order appropriate stock from your local metal supplier, who can cut to length.
6011 stick electrodes work fine on containers.
We do weld on the outside as well.
