C6th Tuning lo to hi C-E-G-A-C-E.

This is a great Harmnized Scale that is the BackBone of C6th Lap Steel Playing. You can walk it up or Down the neck, slip and slide at your descression, play melodies or licks at will.

George "Mr.Boards" takes it slow and EZ to help you get it down into your memory so you can recall the pattern without hesitation.

Once you Have It: Your job is to translate the scale to every Key.

It is a must to commit this scale to heart and soul, the on screen Tab is to help you to learn the notes.

Do Learn this,--- Do Not try to continue to "Sight Read" the tab.

Tabs are a support visual to help you learn.

Ya Just Gotta Love it!!

www.steelguitarcamp.com is where the BOOK-1 DVD Set can be purchased that contains this and many more movies + an Audio CD with several Tracks.

  • what weight bar do you prefer for c6th?

  • I play a standard Sho Bud -- Pedal Steel Stainless bar 7/8" X 3" -- got it from Shot Jackson a long time ago.

8.4 oz on my postal scale.

In my case I like the Mass and 7/8 size, it is difficult for a beginner to get good with the bullet nosed type bars. It is well worth the effort to master one.
