I feel what you are saying. I also love The Doors and went through a "The Doors are the best band ever" phase. Not saying it's a phase for you. I love a lot of bands. For now, though, KOL is the band that I can play over and over and not get sick of. My family and friends can't quite understand how I can play them over and over. I don't quite understand it either.

Sorry, but every time people say "____ is the best band ever I get very defensive and assume they don't listen to music of past decades. ( My personal favorite is "The Doors") But I do agree that kol isn't a sucky band and are so high above most modern bands.
