WP7 NODO Update rocks!

The Windows Phone 7 NODO update started rolling out today, so as a test we compared an updated phone(Mozart) to an un-updated one(HD7) by opening and closing a particularly long loading game.

Note, that even though the phones are different, prior to update the HD7 was actually faster.

...and that said, would either service provider even care if i asked about my update? Virgin has no windows phones, because in Australia the only WP7 handsets for sale are locked to 'Telstra', a competitor to virgin... so therefore virgin more than likely don't care, and neither do telstra because i'm not with them.

FFS this is so wrong. why let a service provider control your updates, microsoft? It makes no sense, and only causes frustration and fragmentation amongst WP7 users.

@SidneyXda well the phone was originally locked to T-mobile as most Omnia 7's are, i suppose. the guy i bought it from got it overseas before taking it to Aus and unlocking it for his use. Anyway, i think my problem might be that I've stuck a 'Virgin' pre-paid SIM in it, and while the phone is completely unlocked and it works perfectly with Virgin, Virgin Aus. doesn't have a single WP7 in their lineup XD Would t-mobile still control my updates through some deep irremovable software thing?

@BrEnNo1023 Are you waiting for your service provider to schedule it? because its really the service providers that are taking ages. Of course Microsoft hasn't helped the situation with taking so long with their plans .

Ive tried that other method (a forced way of getting nodo that came on xda-developers) , but it never updated for me ..so i didn't bother trying any more. I just gotta be patient and wait for my service provider to get things going..bunch of lazy gits these t-mobile idiots.

Ive just ordered a samsung omnia 7, it will be coming in the post .. next few days or so.  cant wait!

hmm di u know when the update will be out for the hd7? mine's not with any particular carrier..
